I figured that it is probably a good idea to talk some about the real scientists working on Climate and putting pressure on the alarmists to actually prove their claims.
In this post we’ll look at a few.
Dr. Tim Ball has a B.A. from the University of Winnipeg, an M.A. from the University of Manitoba and a PH.D. (Doctor of Science) from the University of London, England. He taught geography at U Winnipeg for several years with special interests in climate, water resources and water quality. Dr. Ball is the favourite target of alarmist attack dogmatists because he speaks out against the tide of the holy consensus.
Tim Ball is on record as saying “the Kyoto Protocol is a political solution to a non-existent problem without scientific justification.”
Dr. Ian Clark, professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Ottawa gained his PhD through work at Waterloo and the University of Paris. He has a special interst in paleoclimatology. Dr. Clark is one of several scientists highlighted in The Great Global Warming Swindle and has been attacked for not being a real climatologist, just a geologist. Clark is also featured in a Firends of the Earth documentary on Climate Change once again poking holes in the AGW arguement.
Dr. Clark is on record as saying: “That portion of the scientific community that attributes climate warming to CO2 relies on the hypothesis that increasing CO2, which is in fact a minor greenhouse gas, triggers a much larger water vapour response to warm the atmosphere. This mechanism has never been tested scientifically beyond the mathematical models that predict extensive warming, and are confounded by the complexity of cloud formation – which has a cooling effect.”
Dr. Richard Lindzen, is an atmospheric physicist and the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Lindzen is known for his research in dynamic meteorology. He is highly qualified to pas judgement on matters of climate. Wikipeadia provides this overview of Lindzen’s career:
He has published papers on Hadley circulation, monsoon meteorology, planetary atmospheres, hydrodynamic instability, mid-latitude weather, global heat transport, the water cycle, and their roles in climate change, ice ages, seasonal atmospheric effects.
He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the Science and Economic Advisory Council of the Annapolis Center for Science-Based Public Policy. He previously held positions at the University of Chicago and Harvard University, and was a contributor to Chapter 4 of the “IPCC Second Assessment”, “Climate Change 1995″. He is known for pioneering the study of ozone photochemistry, and advised several student theses on the subject.
Prof. Lindzen is a recipient of the AMS’s Meisinger, and Charney Awards, and AGU’s Macelwane Medal. He is a corresponding member of the NAS Committee on Human Rights, a member of the NRC Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate, and a Fellow of the AAAS1. He is a consultant to the Global Modeling and Simulation Group at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, and a Distinguished Visiting Scientist at California Institute of Technology’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. (Ph.D., ‘64, S.M., ‘61, A.B., ‘60, Harvard University)
More good guys to come: Pat Michaels, Prof. Nir Shaviv, Dr. Piers Corbyn, Dr. John Christy, Professor Phillip Stott, Dr. Patrick Moore, Profesor Paul Reiter, Dr. Tim Patterson, Dr. Fred Michel, Tom Harris, Lubos Motl, Steve McIntyre, Ross McKitrick and others.

Interesting post. I only hope this becomes a serious project where we can not only list all the “Trench Warriors” in the “Global Warming” battle, but also all the parasites behind the myth as well as their hanger ons.
One of the greatest (and original) battlers against this charade is the one and only Fred Singer. Is there some reason he’s not included?
